The
North Shore Twins Prep Baseball program is an elite developmental program
designed to provide dedicated young players (13 & 14 yrs of age) an
opportunity to achieve their baseball related goals and an opportunity to
compete at the highest level possible.
The Prep Team operates under the umbrella of the North Shore Senior
Twins which is a member of the BC Premier Baseball League. The Prep Team is affiliated with Babe Ruth
Baseball.
It is one of the goals of the North Shore Twins Baseball program to produce not only top quality baseball players but also respected individuals by instilling the principles of sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, and work ethic. The Twins program also places a high priority on academics and emphasizes that school performance is a critical component in the success of each player’s development. Following up on a successful 2011 season and an exciting Fall Ball season, 2012 for the Twins “Prep” team is their seventh season. The team is expected to play approximately 45-50 games against top-notch competition in BC as well as Northern Washington. The team will travel more this year entering tournaments in Kamloops, Seattle, Kirkland & Lynden, WA. The players will be responsible for travel and accommodations except Jul 06-08 in Kamloops (Bantam 14U Classic) where the team will pay for the accommodations and the players will stay with the team. Structured, high intensity practices are a requirement of the team, led by John Haar, Tom Nevison, and Nic Miskin (former North Shore Twin and starting pitcher at Thompson Rivers University). In addition, the Twins Prep team will also work with the Senior and Junior Twins from time to time this season to get an opportunity to see what is needed to get to the “next level”. The North Shore Twins coaching staff believes that the Prep squad is a key component of the program and is critical to the future development of baseball on the North Shore. We are committed to ensuring a high-performance baseball program for all involved. |
